The Pardes Educators Program seeks candidates with the qualities to become outstanding and inspiring Jewish educators, a commitment to Jewish continuity and an openness to diversity in religious practice and philosophy. The Pardes Educators Program attracts bright, creative, and passionate individuals.

ulletApplication Schedule

Admission to the Educators Program is on a rolling basis. Since the program only accepts up to 15 students per year, your completed application should be submitted as soon as possible (but no earlier than September of the year prior to your intended enrollment). Once your application is received, you will be contacted to arrange a personal interview. Interviews in North America are generally scheduled in November, February, April, and if space remains, in June. Your application must be submitted in full a month prior to your anticipated interview. Decisions regarding acceptance are made within two weeks of the personal interview.

bullet Admission Requirements

  • B.A. with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • GRE or TOEFL (for non-native English speakers)
  • Prior intensive study of Jewish texts
  • Intermediate Hebrew language proficiency
  • Academic and professional recommendations
  • Personal interview in North America or Israel

Applicants whose Hebrew and/or text study skills fall below the required level may be eligible for a preliminary preparatory (Mechina) year of study at Pardes. This Mechina year offers full tuition at Pardes, ulpan and a monthly living stipend, based on a commitment to complete the regular Educators Program.
